The Versailles Grand Masked Ball: 2026 Royal Portrait Collections
Capture the magic and opulence of your Versailles Grand Masked Ball experience with a royal portrait session at the Palace of Versailles. These highly exclusive slots guarantee stunning, professionally captured images to document this exceptional occasion. On the day of the ball we will be offering 3 different options and times. This year we were also excited to offer a new option – from the Palace to Paris, portraits in front of the Eiffel Tower! It’s always good to give your costume and look a test run the day before, and what better way than a sunrise session with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop! I. Pre-Ball & Gardens Portrait Sessions*
These efficient 20-minute sessions are perfect for securing stunning, professional images before or during the opening hours of the Gardens. Session Details:
- €275 Session Fee (per 2 people, €50 each additional person, includes 5 additional images)
- Duration: Up to 20 minutes, we guarantee 10 images regardless of session length, prioritizing efficiency.
- Includes: Guaranteed 10 final, edited images
Option A: The Golden Gates Session (Early)
For those making a grand early entrance. Perfect for soft, warm evening light.
- Time Slots: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Only 12 slots available)
- Location: In front of the Golden Gates of the Palace.
- Team: Two dedicated L’amour de Paris photographers available.
- Includes: Guaranteed 10 final, edited images
Option B: The Palace Sunset Session (Late)
For those arriving later, when the Gardens open and the sun is setting on the Hall of Mirrors.
- Time Slots: 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Only 12 slots available)
- Location: Inside the Gardens just behind the Palace.
- Team: Three L’amour de Paris photographers available for seamless coverage.
- Includes: Guaranteed 10 final, edited images
II. Exclusive Palace Royal Serenade Session* CURRENTLY SOLD OUT! We are looking at adding another photographer for the 6:50pm session & will post once available
For the ultimate royal experience. These sessions offer unparalleled access to capture your magnificent costumes inside the Palace itself. Spots are extremely limited.

The Golden Gates Session Photos
Just in front of the palace is the courtyard, beautifully protected by the glistening golden gates which serve as the royal backdrop for the early photo sessions. Sometimes we’re lucky enough to get you centered up with the main gates. When it gets busy we can quickly change our angle and capture the gates with the chapel or palace in the background, maintaining that royal look.
The Palace Sunset Session Photos
As the sun starts to set on this magical evening, it bathes the backside of the Palace in its warm golden light, providing a gorgeous backdrop for all of you Kings & Queens!
The Exclusive Royal Serenade Photo Gallery
For the Kings & Queens that want to have it all, and eat their cake! Book your tickets to the Royal Serenade and gain exclusive access inside the Chateau, in costume, for the ultimate Royal photography session. Based on our experience attending the Royal Serenade at the Versailles Grand Masked Ball, we know how to capture the most amazing photos despite being shuttled through the palace with the peasants, oops, we mean tourists in normal clothing 😉 One of our photographers will be attending 2 different sessions during the evening, and each session can only accommodate a total of 4 royals to ensure the most exclusive experience. Book this session and receive a €75 discount on the Golden Gate or Palace Sunset session.
From the Palace to Paris – Royal Portraits with the Eiffel Tower!
Want to give your costume and look a test run? Want to feel like a true French Royal and start your day in Paris and end it in Versailles? Or you simply want to have your photos done in advance so you can stroll the gardens carefree the evening of the Ball? This is the session for you! These sessions are done at sunrise at the Trocadero platform so you have the Eiffel Tower all to yourself. (sunrise sessions are between 6:30-9am, no later) Just like the other photo session options, they are €275, last up to 20 minutes and guarantee 10 finished, edited images.
